Ok not posting lately because I am kind of in a funk and I have to get myself out of it and I really will not be out of it until I am ready to be out of it. I am working on it though. I have started taking a vitamin which will help some from within and hopefully the rest will follow. It is a combination of boredom and depression. Plus I am broke all the time because of a certain Deadbeat Dad, but I will not go into that here. But the money stress does not help. I am working on trying to get a second job that will help with all of it. I just get stuck in the apartment for days at a time and anybody who knows me knows that I am more social than that. But then again I don't have ANYBODY here to hang out with cause I don't know anybody and again that is not helping either. Not to mention my no existing love life!!! But I will try to do better about writiing and if fact will tell you about my trip that I just finished today.
The captain and first officer that I flew with this week have known each other for quite sometime. The went to flight school together and all that. The Capt has worked for expressjet for about 6 years and the FO just about 2. But since they know each other so well they were more like twin brothers or something and had their own language and all that it was really kind of weird, but really funny and yes even sometime annoying!! But still funny! At least they did include me in conversations and whatnot. I have flown with people before who were really good friends and they just acted like I was not even there and that makes for a very long 4 day trip. But these guys were pretty cool and even bought the beer in Mexico on Sat. Which I desperatly needed because of the flight to Mexico with about 15 kids on board and parents that were worse than the kids. It was bad!!! I needed beer!!!!! There was an Applebees right next door to the hotel so we went over there and I just love me some DOS XX!! Man that is great beer! I only had 3 cause I didn't know they were buying!! But we all got along really great, so it was actually a not so bad 4 day. We were in Washington DC last night and I have made friends with the bartender at the hotel because at one time I just happen to get that over night alot and he never charges me for beer either or any of my crew for that matter but I went down there by myself last night cause it was a really short overnight and the pilots have a 12 hr bottle to throttle while the flight attendants have an 8 hour rule. So it was too late for them. But legal for me!! I just had a couple and then up to bed and had to get up pretty early this morning for the flight back to Houston. Of couse, since it was the last leg of the trip and we were done when we got back we had maintence issues and had to return to the gate. The Curse of the Last Leg strikes again.... but we finally made it back and actually was only about a half hour late getting back. So again all and all it was a decent 4 day. I only have 2 days off and then a few short trips and then I have vacation in Sept. Hopefully I get to do something during it! I will keep you posted!!!
